This is my first attempt to create a blog. What am I doing? Every time I try to respond to Elena's blog I can't do it. It never publishes my response. Will this be any different? I think I am writing this because my memory is so bad I can't remember what happened yesterday - so this will give me a place to look up what is happening in my life. Today I made a meal to send over to Jeff and Pam. They have had the Norwalk virus at their house and have been under the weather for about 10 days. Maggie got it first and was at CHEO on Jan. 10. She was just getting back to normal when Pam got sick. She spent Friday at the hospital having her fluids restored by IV. We had little Maggie on Saturday for her first sleep over at our house. Jeff was playing a show and Pam was being cared for by her parents. We have realized that we are not as young as we think and babies take a lot of energy to look after them. She was pretty good considering the circumstances but after getting her to sleep in my arms three times only to have her wake up as we dropped her into the portable crib. Someone should design one with a side that allows stiff Grannies to lean over far enough to reach the bottom of the crib. We ended up bringing her into bed with us where she slept for most of the night. At least someone was well rested by morning.
